Background

Joel is a class A member of the P.G.A. and a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. For the last fifteen years, he has been teaching golf, and he enjoys teaching all types of golfers – from the beginner to the aspiring professional.

Joel believes in building his students’ swing using proper fundamentals and trying to create good symmetry. He believes that by creating good symmetry, his students will be able to repeat a proper swing, time after time, which equals consistency.  He also likes to work with his students on all aspects of their game – mechanics, fitness, mental game, short game, putting and club fitting.

Over the years, Joel has been fortunate to have received instruction from some of the best teaching professionals in the game, including Robert Baker, Brad Dean, Adam Schriber and Dr. Jim Suttie. Recently, he has started to teach using biomechanics learned from Chris Welch, founder of Zenolink.  He has also been using the v-1 video analysis software to help his students for the last eight years.
