John Minnich is a PGA Certified Professional and has been teaching golf professionally since 1998 when he began his career at Stonycroft Hills Club in Bloomfield Hills. He then spent 16 years at lndianwood Country Club in Lake Orion and most recently he worked at Oakland University’s prestigious Rick Smith Golf Academy. 

Prior to turning professional John had a successful amateur career! He played college golf at the University of Detroit where he was a 4-year starter and 2-time team captain. He was the 1st player to receive All MCC Conference honors for the Titans. He won the Detroit City Amateur Championship twice and qualified/competed in two U.S. Amateur Championships and the British Amateur Championship. 

John has taken his exceptional playing experience and channeled it into coaching students of all skill levels. He will discuss your goals as a golfer and develop a personal plan to help you reach or exceed your goals.
